Dog Food

I couldn't sleep last night, so I ate a pint of Haagen-Dazs and watched Bad Girls Club reruns. Around the time someone threw something in a pool after accusing someone of "not being here for the right reasons," I had an idea: I will start reviewing restaurants in Los Angeles based on service dog friendliness and accessibility! Yes! And I will share our experiences with each restaurant! Yes! And I will have a rating system! Holy shit yes! The rating system got me kind of excited.

So, stay tuned for my first review!

    1. Hello, Umair, and thank you for your message! Your question comes at an interesting time, as I recently transitioned Phoebe from dry kibble dog food to organic, freeze-dried raw food. I'm not a veterinarian, but I've done a lot of research on homemade, all natural food Vs. premium dry kibbles. What I've found is that while a dog's nutritional needs differ from our own, as long as you do your research (determine appropriate daily caloric intake based on size, age, and breed, make sure you know what foods and ingredients are and are not safe for your dog, etc) fresh, homemade food for your dog is really best. I feed Phoebe a food called The Honest Kitchen. It's "homemade," human-grade, fresh, organic, and dehydrated to ensure preservation of nutrients. I soak the food in warm water for about five minutes, mix it up, and serve. I also add in carrots, or apples, or yogurt, and she absolutely loves it.

All of this said, each dog is different, and what works for one dog might not work for another. I recommend doing some research and serving up a fresh and healthy diet for your pup. Here are some links that might be helpful:
